DENR CALABARZON honors top-performing offices, personnel through Gawad Parangal

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — Recognizing excellence in environmental governance and public service, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) CALABARZON honored its top-performing field offices, regional division, and personnel through the Gawad Parangal on October 12, 2026, at the DENR CALABARZON Regional Office Conference Hall.

The awards were conferred by Regional Executive Director Henry A. Adornado, PhD, together with Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Atty. Liezl E. De Mesa and Assistant Regional Director for Technical Services Eriberto B. Saños.

Gawad Parangal recognizes offices and personnel whose accomplishments, innovations, and dedication contribute to more effective environmental programs and public service. The awardees were selected following an evaluation of organizational performance, submitted documents, and innovations covering January to June 2026.

The awards comprise the Gawad Natatanging PENRO, CENRO, and Dibisyon, which recognizes outstanding offices and divisions, and the Gawad Lingkod Kalikasan (GLK), which honors personnel who exemplify the DENR's mission through their contributions to environmental protection and public service.

The recognition highlights performance in strategic planning, resource management, teamwork, and accountability, as demonstrated by accomplishments and process improvements.

The Gawad Lingkod Kalikasan recognized three personnel for exemplary service.

Through Gawad Parangal, DENR CALABARZON reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation, recognizing the offices and individuals whose dedicated work helps advance environmental protection and responsive public service across the region.
