Civil Service Commission

The Civil Service Commission, alongside key partner agencies, successfully completed Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan 2026. The nationwide roadshow ran from 7 to 11 September in regions across the country, culminating in the National Capital Region leg on 16 September at SM North EDSA. A total of 194 participating organizations (165 government agencies and 29 private employers) offered 9,090 vacancies while the event drew 6,625 jobseekers, resulting in 223 applicants hired on the spot.

The Commission has adopted the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence: Embedded Systems Governance for the Civil Service (PRIME-ESG) as the redesigned governance framework to guide efforts to improve efficiency and modernize public sector HR management. Under CSC Resolution No. 2600988 promulgated on 29 July 2026, and operationalized through CSC Memorandum Circular No. 11, s. 2026.

The Himig Lingkod Bayani: 2026 Government Choral Competition culminated on 17 September 2026 at the Metropolitan Theater, Manila, as part of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration. Grand Champion (PHP300,000 and trophy): Dasmarinas City Teachers' Chorale; First Runner-up (PHP250,000 and Trophy): Coro de Rentas Internas; Second Runner-up (PHP200,000 and Trophy): DepEd Bohol Chorale; Third Runner-up (PHP150,000 and Trophy): Coro Davao de Oro.

The Commission has successfully concluded the Fire Officer Examination (FOE), ending a specialized exam that helped build the pool of eligible personnel for the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). The phase-out comes after the final administration on 7 June 2026. Through CSC Resolution No. 2601044, promulgated on 4 August 2026, the Commission approved the request of the Department of the Interior and Local Government to cease the exam.

Quirino Grandstand transformed into a sea of energy and solidarity on 13 September 2026 as 16,712 public servants gathered, while 23,287 participated in other regions for the Lingkod Bayani Run 2026. A highlight event of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the simultaneous nationwide fun run united government officials, employees, and private partners to champion wellness, community, and a meaningful cause.
