Welcome to the City of Batac
Welcome to the official website of the City Government of Batac. More than a digital portal, this website serves as your gateway to a city that honors its heritage while embracing progress — a vibrant agri-city in the North shaped by resilient communities and shared aspirations.
Serving our fellow Batacqueños is a responsibility we carry with deep respect and commitment. Our goal is simple: to build a government that listens, responds efficiently, and ensures that progress reaches every household, making Batac sustainable, inclusive, and prepared for the future.
Our city's identity is rooted in more than four centuries of history. Known as the "Home of Great Leaders," Batac takes pride in the contributions of distinguished figures such as General Artemio Ricarte y Vibora, Monsignor Gregorio Aglipay, and former President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos, whose stories remain part of the city's historical identity.
Beyond its rich history, the true spirit of Batac thrives in its culture, traditions, and people. It is reflected in the flavors that have become part of our identity — from the world-famous Batac Ilocos Empanada, known for its vibrant orange color due to achiote (annatto in Ilocano), the hearty Batac Miki to the city's crispy Sitsaron, also known as Bagnet.
We invite you to explore our heritage, discover our programs and services, and experience the opportunities that make Batac a thriving and progressive city in the North.
Welcome to Batac, and thank you for being part of our journey.
Hon. Mark Christian "Markee" R. Chua, City Mayor
