Our beloved Local Chief Executive Hon. Mayor Dionesia Becada Lagas envisions a more progressive and developed infrastructure for all Buuganons. With the help of Provincial Governor Atty. Wilter Yap Palma, Congressman Atty. Wilter "Sharky" Palma, and the Sangguniang Bayan members headed by Hon. Vice Mayor Jonam R. Lagas, a newly completed building was blessed and inaugurated.
On May 9, 2022, the local and presidential elections resulted in the re-election of Municipal Mayor Dionesia Becada Lagas and Vice Mayor Jonam Ratilla Lagas for their second term in their respective positions. The eight new Sangguniang Bayan members are all Team Lagas.
