All Regular and Associate Members of the NRCP are eligible to submit research proposals for funding under the Council's Grants-in-Aid (GIA) program. The program supports frontier and problem-oriented research in the sciences and humanities that contribute to national development.
The proposal is not a duplicate of any past or on-going research (local or international); no on-going project at NRCP will be considered for NRCP-GIA funding.
The proposal is aligned with the identified priority areas or programs of the NRCP and DOST, and complements existing projects under the relevant program-based scheme.
All proposals are reviewed by designated NRCP member-evaluators under the relevant Scientific Divisions. In the final stage of evaluation, proposals are presented before the NRCP Governing Board prior to approval or endorsement to DOST.
The researcher must be cleared of all technical and financial obligations from any prior NRCP or DOST-funded project before a new grant will be considered.
