"My mouth is filled with Your praise, and with Your glory all the day." (Psalm 71:8) With hearts full of humble gratitude, it is with great joy and privilege that we present our 52 new Josephinian Registered Civil Engineers from the September 2026 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE).
Grounded in prayer, discipline, and perseverance, Saint Joseph College achieved a remarkable milestone. Our first-time examinees posted a 71.88% passing rate, steering our overall institutional performance to 59.09% (52 out of 88 examinees), transcending beyond the 37.14% national passing rate. Furthermore, in an unofficial ranking posted by the CE Box Tutorial Page, SJC Maasin also placed 17th nationwide among Civil Engineering institutions with 50 or more examinees.
This blessing is a testament to the dedication of the SJC Civil Engineering Department in providing quality, values-driven engineering education in Eastern Visayas.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our graduates, families, mentors, faculty and staff from the CE Dept., friends, and prayer warriors. Above all, we offer everything back to the Almighty.
Congratulations, our new Josephinian Civil Engineers! Go forth and build with integrity, humility, and faith. Deo omnis gloria! #JosephiniansTranscend
"A teacher is more than a bearer of knowledge; a teacher is a trusted guide who helps others discover truth, develop character, and grow into their full humanity. Teaching is both an intellectual vocation and a moral responsibility.
A teacher must be exemplary, because learners are formed not only by what teachers say but by how they live. A teacher must be angel, helping us to recognize the good, resist the evil, keep walking when the road of learning is difficult. A teacher must be committed, remaining faithful to the slow, patient work of education — even when growth is difficult to see.
To teach holistically is to attend to the whole person: mind, character, relationships, and well-being."
— Very Rev. Msgr. Oscar A. Cadayona, PhD, SThL-MA, in his homily during the Mass for the SJCEF Teachers' Day Celebration (October 2, 2026).
