The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 10 convened its lawyers and Juris Doctors on October 1, 2026, at Hotel Monicon, El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, to strengthen legal capacities and coordination across regional and field offices.
The interface provided a venue to discuss legal concerns affecting regional and field operations. Relevant legal opinions were presented and discussed to support consistent interpretation and application of laws and policies in providing guidance to local government units.
The meeting also featured a Kamustahan which allowed the participants to share experiences and exchange views with the Regional Director on strengthening legal support across the region.
The activity forms part of DILG 10's efforts to strengthen its institutional capacity and ensure that sound legal guidance informs the discharge of the Department's mandate.
